Where we work
Towns and villages we serve
Every town on the Cape has its own ground, its own weather and its own permitting. Each one below has a page of its own explaining what that means for masonry there.

What we do, and how we do it
Every service below is available in all fifteen towns. These are the actual methods, not a list of words.

Custom Patios
Eight inches of excavation, four inches of crushed asphalt compacted, two inches of masonry sand screeded flat, then the paver. Polymeric sand in every joint, washed, then backfill and loam. Most crews use plain gravel for the base. Crushed asphalt re-cements as it compacts and holds harder.
How we build them →
Walkways
Two ways to build one. A full paver base, same eight-four-two build as a patio, for a front entry that gets daily use and winter shovelling. Or natural bluestone set individually into your lawn, sod cut with a rotating saw and every stone cemented in place, for a garden path that should look like it was always there.
How we build them →
Stone Steps & Stairs
The part of the job with no margin for error. Rise and run even across every tread, no soft spot underfoot, treads pitched just enough to shed water without you feeling it. A stairway that is a quarter inch off on one tread is the one everybody trips on, every time.

Retaining Walls
A wall is a structure, not a border. Footing below frost depth, free-draining backfill behind it, and a drain line that actually exits somewhere useful. Geogrid once the height calls for it. Almost every failed wall we are asked to replace failed for drainage, not for stone.

Chimney Repair & Rebuilds
We look at whether the damage stops at the crown and the mortar joints or whether the structure itself has moved, then tell you plainly which one it is. Older brick needs a softer mortar. Repointing with a hard modern mix traps water and cracks the brick from the inside out.

Cobblestone Aprons
The strip where your driveway meets the street, and the first thing anyone sees of the property. Set properly it holds the edge of the driveway, takes plough and truck weight, and finishes the entrance instead of letting it fray into the road.

Driveways — Paver, Stone & Shell
A driveway carries vehicle weight, so it gets a deeper and heavier build than a patio does. Same principle underneath, more of it. We lay paver driveways, and we also install crushed stone and crushed shell driveways, which are the traditional Cape Cod surface and cost a fraction of paver. Loose surfaces live or die on the edge, so we hold them with a granite cobblestone border that keeps the stone where you put it instead of letting it wander into the lawn.

Outdoor Fireplaces
Built as the centrepiece of the yard, wood-burning or gas, with proper firebox construction and code-compliant clearances. The chimney and draw have to be right or you spend every evening in the smoke.

Fire Pits
Gas or wood-burning, in natural stone or brick, sized for the space and built to stay put. A permanent gathering spot rather than something that gets moved every spring.

Built-In Grills & Outdoor Kitchens
The hardest thing we build. It has to handle heat, weather and drainage, take a gas line, hold appliances square for years, and look like it was always part of the house. That last part is where most of them fail.

Pool Decks
Paver or natural stone around the pool, built for moisture, pool chemicals and bare feet. Slip-resistant surface with drainage running away from the water rather than back into it.
Why the town matters
Cape Cod is not one place
A patio in Falmouth deals with salt air that eats mortar. A retaining wall in Chatham holds ground against active erosion. A walkway in Wellfleet sits on sand that moves. In Yarmouth, most of what we build replaces hardscape that failed because the base under it was rushed.
Same trade, different problem in every town. That is why each of these pages says something different, and why we walk the property before quoting anything.
