We wait for the right conditions
Masonry set in frozen ground fails. On Katie’s walkway we placed the stone, then stopped:

Cutting stone into an existing lawn is the part homeowners worry about, and rightly. Katie’s description of the finish is the standard we hold:

Most Mashpee projects don’t start with bare ground. There’s an old deck, a cracked walkway or front steps that have shifted. We remove and dispose of what’s there before we build, so you’re not coordinating two contractors:

Can I give you my own design?
Yes. Send a sketch, an outline or photos of what you have in mind and we’ll build to it. If you’d rather start from nothing, we produce a custom 3D design of the finished space first.
What happens to my lawn where the stone is cut in?
We cut the sod with a rotating saw, hand-dig the edges, then backfill with loam and grass seed, clean up the cut sod and rake the area. By mid-season you shouldn’t be able to tell where we worked.
Do you remove the old deck or patio first, or do I need someone else?
We handle it. Removal and disposal of old decks, steps, walkways and patios is part of the job.
Can you work in the winter?
We can start, but we won’t set stone in frozen ground — it heaves in the spring. Booking in winter holds your spot and we begin the moment conditions allow.
